A Unique aspect of Cyclo Pro is our highly trained mechanics, who are under constant supervision, and are trained to carry out specialized repairs, including shocks, Hydraulic disc brakes and WHEELSMITHING (The art of building wheels that are evenly & correctly tensioned ).

We are a family owned & run shop. We pride ourselves in friendly service, helping as much as possible whenever we can, and, with our diagnostic skills try to relieve you of your cycling problems. Cyclo Pro is now one of Port Elizabeth's largest cycle outlets and is currently an agent for, amongst others: Giant, Cannondale, GT, Momsen and Avalanche Cycles.
Cyclo Pro is co-owned and personally supervised by Rob Rudman & Julie Briggs (nee Rudman). Not content to rest on past achievements, their aim is to strive to stay ahead in their field and each staff member is actively involved in some form of cycling.
Rob is the co-founder of the area's largest cycle race, The Herald Cycle Tour. He is also a founder member, together with Humphrey Gerretsen and Theo von Ruben, of what is now known as the Masters and Ladies Cycling Club. He has been both assistant and manager of the SA Protea Mountain Bike Team, participating at the World MTB Championships in Canada (1998) Vail, USA (2001) and Austria (2002) as well as having competed in the masters MTB World Champs in Canada in 1999 and 2001, which gained him his SA Masters Colours in both the Crosscountry& Downhill disciplines.
His technical expertise includes being the mechanic for the SA Mountain Bike side and holding a Weldtite International Platinum Mechanical certificate. On the home front, he is a previous age category winner of the Argus Cycle Tour and was the EP Time Trial Champion in his younger years. He has also been the national champion in various age categories in mountain bike cross country and downhill disciplines. He therefore has a wide field of personal experience regarding Road & Mountain bikes.
Julie started racing mountain bikes in 1997, and raced both Cross Country and Downhill on the national circuit for over 10 years. She represented South Africa at the World Downhill Championships in Canada (1998) and in Sweden (1999). She represented South Africa again in 2001 in Vail, Colorado, USA.
She no longer competes competitively but enjoys social riding and enters the odd race every now and again, with her husband, Andrew, who is an accomplished road and mountain biker. Being a Registered Massage Therapist, Julie has traveled overseas with the South African Road team on 2 occasions, contributed articles to various magazines and attended to well known athletes in various disciplines.
