PORT ELIZABETH, South Africa, 18 August 2015 - Women across Port Elizabeth and throughout the country are gearing up as the city’s largest women’s conference soon marks its tenth anniversary. This year the Arise Women’s Conference will host international speakers Lyndie McCauley, Tammy McManus, Esther Meshoe, as well as recording artist, Lee van Staden, and host and founder Mariana Crompton. Known for its motivational teachings, singers and networking sessions, Arise will be presented at Word of Faith Christian Centre with seminars set to run for three nights and two days starting on the third of September.

When asked about its yearly success, Mariana Crompton highlighted that the conference is designed specifically for women and is aimed at meeting their needs. “Testimonies from previous years include that many women had seen a dramatic change in their day to day lives, that they made new friends, and that the atmosphere is what brings them back every year,” said Crompton.

Lyndie McCauley, who has been linked to the Arise Conference for ten years and will be speaking again this year, is also the Co-Founder of Rhema Ministries South Africa and the Rhema Bible Training Centre. McCauley has preached the gospel worldwide, authored six books and this year celebrates thirty-seven years in full-time ministry. About the Arise Conference McCauley says, “The Arise Conference will answer many of the questions you have about your life, and will fully empower you to live your life in a greater way!”

Fellow speaker, Tammy McManus, and her husband Owen McManus, Jr., pastor City Church, one of the largest churches in New Orleans. In 2005, McManus, her husband and volunteers, returned to New Orleans to rebuild ministry facilities after Hurricane Katrina, and managed to do so without incurring debt. The McManus’s have been supporting Port Elizabeth based charity organisation, Project Hope, a department of Hub of Hope, for more than ten years.

Founder and president of Diamonds, a character development programme for women and third in the trio of international speakers, Esther Meshoe, is the daughter of the former president of the ACDP, Dr Kenneth Meshoe. Meshoe, who will speak at this year’s conference, is an outspoken friend of Israel and travels both nation-wide and internationally to speak at corporate and church conferences where she teaches women how to develop their own success stories.

Leading the worship at the conference, is recording artist and TV personality, Lee van Staden. Lee, together with her husband, Judah, pastor River Church in Pretoria and can be seen on DSTV’s Faith Broadcasting Network where they host Urban Revival, a weekly gospel programme.

This year’s theme is aimed at encouraging women to be ready at different stages in life. Founder, Mariana Crompton’s, feeling when planning this conference was to let women know that they are valued and that each woman is uniquely designed by God for a purpose. Arise was built on the basis that the conference as a whole needs to be a positive, faith building, uplifting emotionally as well as ‘an exposure to excellence’ experience. Attendees at the conference will be given the opportunity to attend a selection of ‘breakaway sessions’ with topics including finances, parenting, spiritual growth, a make-up practical, fitness and health.

As part of their digital marketing campaign, the conference boasts a line-up of giveaways from local businesses and Arise partners, such as Honey Jewellery, Bonamia, The Chapman Hotel and Total Concept. Prizes of which are distributed on the conference’s Facebook page: Arise Girlfriends.

Proceeds of the conference will go towards ‘Hub of Hope’ which supports four local charities in Port Elizabeth: Project Hope, Shepherds Field Rehabilitation Centre, Word of Faith Missions and Cleft Friends a project of the Smile Foundation.

Word of Faith invites all women to a weekend of fun and inspiration with coffee, delicious eats and beauty treatments at discounted rates. Arise is the best place to wind down from the buzz of life and also a time to focus on your own life, spiritually, emotionally and physically. Set your mind, prepare your heart, equip your soul … and get Ready!

Registrations for individual seminars and breakaway sessions open at 8:30 every morning over the course of the weekend. To register for the Arise Conference and receive a complimentary goodie bag, complete the online form or contact Charlene Erasmus at Word of Faith Christian Centre on 041 399 4400.
