Conrad Isaac MD of SPAR Eastern Cape brought a profound message of support at the 8TH Annual Gala Dinner Awards Ceremony. He titled his message "Against All Odds".
Looking back after almost 10 years of hosting the Northern Arts Festival, we believe that we can now own that statement. We have come this far, Against All Odds. The road was not easy yesterday and today is still a battle, but it was all well worth it. We made many sacrifices and had to endure many challenges but by the grace of God we are still standing. Every year has been a significant experience. We learned many lessons, but with all pioneering efforts the processes remains the same.
The great results and many lives changed through the festival outweighs all the pros and cons. Each year we have seen new “Stars’ arose out of the North thorough our Talent Search Project called "SKY'S THE LIMIT".
One just has to look at success stories such as, S-MHA, Creshwell October, Dejavu, ChapterTHREE, Earl & Agemi, Gino Lee, Stone Sisters, Miss Mona and many others who are currently riding the waves of success. All these artists had their debuts at the Northern Arts Festival.
Our success is all because of teamwork, great community support and dedication. We have an excellent board of directors who carry the vision in their hearts and a team of volunteers that have a passion and commitment that is second to none. Our sponsors have supported us by far "AGAINST ALL ODDS". We are also thankful for the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro who finally came on board as a financial sponsor for the festival.
