AE turns 60!
From The Team Leader Back to News Index
This year is certainly moving at a pace, with so much happening on the local and international fronts, that demand our attention and prayers. None more so, than the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, which is of grave concern and the tremendous loss of life so tragic. Our heartfelt prayers do go out to all affected by this terrible war.
On a positive note, this year African Enterprise celebrates 60 years of mission to the cities of Africa, which started with a mission in Pietermaritzburg in 1962! Firstly, we thank God for His faithfulness in using the ministry of African Enterprise to reach millions across the continent with the good news of Jesus Christ. We will be commemorating the 12 August anniversary with a gala dinner, followed by the Mission to Maritzburg, in partnership with the churches of Pietermaritzburg.
Preparation for the Mission to Maritzburg is well underway and we are so blessed by the local churches that are embracing this opportunity together with us to reach our city. The gospel will go out in every area of Pietermaritzburg, and our founder Michael Cassidy will also be part of the mission! We can’t wait. All Pietermaritzburg churches are invited to participate in this mission, and they can contact our mission office to register for the mission at email@example.com or 033 347 1911.
Read more in our newsletter below about our new team members that will be helping to set up our mission this year, our vibrant 2022 Foxfire Youth Team, and some of the community work that we have been doing so far this year.
I also want to thank every faithful supporter and prayer partner that has helped to carry African Enterprise for six decades! We thank the Lord for every life that has been impacted through your partnership and we look forward to taking hands for the next decade as we continue to evangelise the cities of Africa, through word and deed, in partnership with the you, the Church.
