This page is provided as an information service to tell you about some of the freeware software packages we use and have found helpful within our organisation. LIBRE OFFICE
Libre Office is a full office productivity suite including a Word Processor, Spreadsheet, Presentation software, etc. Available free of charge for various operating systems including Windows and Linux, it provides a viable alternative to the hugely expensive proprietary packages available, and provides a way for those on a tight budget to keep their software legal even if using a number of PC's. Best of all, it is mostly compatible with files created using other popular application like MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
